Express Yourself Studios, in Maplewood, NJ is placing a call for the artwork of young Essex County artists to be displayed in its studio space, June through August. Young artists are invited to create works of art, using any medium based on the theme of Live, Love, Laugh.
Requirements: Applicants must be 14-21 years of age and a resident of Essex County, New Jersey.
Interested students must complete the form below, and submit an image of their artwork (photograph, photocopy). The application and images can also be emailed in the form of a jpeg. All applications should be sent to:

The deadline for application submission is May 22, 2009. An application fee of $10, made payable to Express Yourself Studios, must accompany all completed applications.
Delivery of artwork is May 27-28 and pickup dates are September 1-2. Applicants will be selected and notified by May 25. All works of art must be wired for hanging or suitable for table display.
An opening reception will take place Sunday, June 7 from 2:30pm – 5:30pm. Student artists, their families, friends, and schools will be invited to attend.

Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for people to come both children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in arts and crafts.
