Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host its annual Spring Break Workshop. The workshop runs April 2- April 27 and is open to children ages 5-12. Choose your Spring Break Week and join us for fun arts & crafts! Register for a week or a day or two.

We will create paintings inspired by Master Artists such as: O’Keeffe, Basquiat, Van Gogh, Warhol, Haring, Cezanne, etc. using a mix of mediums (acrylics, watercolor, and pastels) and other projects using a myriad of materials (clay & paper collages). All materials included, 3-hours of studio time. Please pack a light snack. The Workshop Fee: $150 for the week or $45 per child/per day

Mixed Media Workshop at Express Yourself Studios, for Ages 4-7 Wednesdays 4:30-5:30p, Class Begins April 4 Register Now!

Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood offers a Mixed Media workshop Wednesday evenings 4:30pm - 5:30pm for children ages 4-7. Spring Classes begin the week of April 2.

This engaging and dynamic program is perfect for the child who wants to learn many art techniques, while creating diverse and imaginative projects. Each student will create different, unique and individualized art pieces through a variety of themes and subject matter.

Projects will include drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, clay and numerous mixed media-based concepts, using an array of fun and tactile materials and techniques. Students will also be introduced to various techniques and artists from art history.

Plan early for Summer Break, Register for Summer Art Camp Now! Express Yourself Studios 2012 Summer Workshop Schedule is Posted, Enroll Now!

Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood has begun its Summer Art Workshop 2012 enrollment. The Summer Art Workshop program is open to children ages 5-12. Children will experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will be encouraged to use their imagination freely as they learn about Master Artists. The Summer Workshop runs June 25 – August 24.

Workshop attendees will create 10-15 art projects per week. The projects will be inspired by a different Master Artist. The 2012 9-week schedule includes the following artists: Alma Woodsey Thomas, Henri Matisse, Keith Haring, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Diego Rivera, Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso and Georgia O'Keeffe.

Children will learn about the Artists through discussions, examples, and art-making. Projects will include painting, drawing, mixed media collage, sculpture, printmaking and paper mache (relative to the artists). An exhibition and reception featuring students' artwork will be held at the conclusion of each week.
