Save-the-Date, January 20: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Celebrate Dr. King: Explore the Dream Through Art Workshop at Express Yourself Studios

Express Yourself Studios; located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host its 6th annual “Celebrate Dr. King: Explore the Dream Through Art” workshop, January 20 . Children ages 4-12 are welcome to learn about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement through art. Children will create art exploring the themes of Peace, Equality and Friendship.

All participants are asked to bring a canned or boxed non-perishable food item to be donated to the Wallace Chapel Food Pantry (a service of Wallace Chapel Church) in Summit, NJ. The workshop fee is $20, one hour of studio time and all materials included. Join us between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm (on the hour).

Winter Art Classes & Workshops Offered at Express Yourself Studios, Classes Begin January 14; Registration Deadline is January 6, Register Now!

Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood is currently accepting enrollment for its Winter art classes. Classes are available for children (ages 2-12) and are offered in 6 week sessions. All materials are included, and there are a wide variety of classes to choose from. Kid’s classes include: Crafty Kids, Media Mix, Drawing & Painting, Sculpture and Cartoon Workshops. Winter classes begin January 14. The registration deadline is January 6, 2014.

The Studio also hosts birthday parties and a myriad of art events and special workshops throughout the year such as Family Art Night, Cocktails & Canvas , Pinot & Pottery and Coffee & Canvas Workshops for adults and Pizza & Pottery for children.
