Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host a Holiday Break Art Workshop December 29, 30, 31 for children ages 4-10 from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Participants will create paintings inspired by Master Artists using a mix of mediums (acrylics, watercolor, and pastels) and other projects using a myriad of materials (clay & paper collages).

All materials are included for this 3-hour workshop. The class fee is $50 per child /per day or $45 per day if registering for 2 or more children or if registering for December 29-31.

Petite Painters Workshop for Ages 2-5 Offered at Express Yourself Studios

Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood offers a Petite Painters Workshop Tuesdays and Thursdays for children ages 2-5. Participants will experiment with paint, make collages and clay sculptures! A different art project each week.

Petite Painters Workshop is offered as a 10-week session choose either Tuesdays or Thursdays. The workshop fee is $150.

Session I begins December 2. The registration deadline is November 24, 2014.
Session II begins January 20. The registration deadline is January 12, 2015.

Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host its annual Pumpkin Painting Sunday, October 26, 11:00am - 2:00pm. Fall Art Classes and Workshops Offered by Express Yourself Studios; Classes Begin October 14, Register Now!

Classes are open to children ages 4-12 and are offered in 6 week sessions. All materials are included, and there are a wide variety of classes to choose from: Media Mix, Drawing & Painting, Sculpture and Cartoon Workshops. Fall classes begin October 14. Express Yourself Studios Summer Art Workshop - Victor Vasarely Week - June 30 - July 4, There's Still Time to Register!

MAPLEWOOD, NJ June 26, 2014- Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood offers a Summer Art Workshop open to children ages 5-12. Children will experiment with a variety of media in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will be encouraged to use their imagination freely as they learn about Master Artists. The Summer Workshop runs June 23 – August 29.

Workshop attendees will create 10-15 art projects per week. The projects will be inspired by a different Master Artist. The 2014 10-week schedule includes the following artists: Piet Mondrian, Victor Vasarely, Pablo Picasso, Cartooning, Wassilly Kandinsky, Robert Rauschenberg, Carlos Merida, Sculpture, Henri Matisse and Paul Cezanne.

Children will learn about the Artists through discussions, examples, and art-making. Projects will include painting, drawing, mixed media collage, sculpture, printmaking and paper mache (relative to the artists). An exhibition and reception featuring students' artwork will be held at the conclusion of each week.

Express Yourself Studios Celebrates Black History Month with Several Scheduled Events and Workshops

MAPLEWOOD, NJ, January 23, 2014– Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood, NJ has several events slated for Black History Month. The community is invited to take part in one or more of the Studio’s events which are kid and family-friendly and include the following:

Saturday, February 8, 15, 22 – African American Artists Series
Times: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm and 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Saturdays during the month of February enjoy a special Black History Month lesson in art exploring a different African-American Master Artists. This program is offered as part of Express Yourself’s Studio Saturday and Family Art Night workshops.

Studio Saturday is open to children ages 5-12 and runs on the hour 11:00am – 3:00pm; the workshop fee for this is $20. Family Art Night runs 4:00pm – 6:00pm; the workshop fee is $25. Please inquire about group discounts.
