Express Yourself Studios Hosts the South Orange Maplewood Artisian's Guild Craft Show

Shop local, shop handmade was the message at the September 13 and September 21 Craft Show presented by the South Orange Maplewood Artisian's at Express Yourself Studios.

Local crafters united to show their work at Express Yourself's Springfield Avenue location. "We are happy to be a venue for local crafters and artisians and hope the message of "shop local" does not fall on deaf ears, says Simone Anthony-Brown, co-owner of Express Yourself Studios.

Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in arts and crafts. As well as a space where artist are welcome to display their work and create utilizing the studio’s space, tools and tables. Express Yourself Studios Recognizes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month With “Craft for the Cause”

MAPLEWOOD, NJ September 18, 2009 – Express Yourself Studios, A Space to Create located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host “Craft for the Cause” a weekly, Saturday afternoon craft show featuring local artists and crafters during the month of October to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to raise funds for breast cancer education.

“Craft for the Cause” will take place Saturday, October 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Monies raised via vendor participation will be donated to the American Cancer Society in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in memory of Mary Bradley, the late mother-in-law of Express Yourself Studios co-owner Simone Anthony-Brown.
