Planning a birthday party? Make it an art party! Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood hosts art birthday parties for ages 2 and up. All parties are unique and personalized. Drop by or give us a call, we’re ready to celebrate with you!

Kids Party Package includes:
• Two (2) hours of Studio time
• One (1) art project
• Face painting
• One (1) project leader
• One (1) - Two (2) assistants (as required)
• All project supplies and smocks for all participants
• Paper plates, napkins, tablecloths and utensils
• Balloons
Each child will leave with their very own masterpiece!

Party Package Details:
• Art Parties (painting, collage, pottery): $400 for 12 children ($20 per extra child)
• Tie-Dye T-shirt Party: $450 for 12 children ($20 per extra child)
• Deposit: $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date/time
• Party Hours: Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (2-hours of studio time, other days/time slots available please inquire)
• Extra time/Overtime: $30 per additional ½ hour is applied for each additional 30-minutes
• The family is responsible for food (snacks, pizza, cake) and presents, etc.

Basic Party Package with Pizza Includes:
(Does not include adult guests or non-participating children)
• Plain cheese pizza (2 slices per birthday party participant)
• Beverages (2 pint size spring water bottles per birthday party participant)
• Fruit (1 individual, pre-wrapped, pack of apple slices, per birthday party participant)
• Chips (1 snack size bag of chips, per birthday party participant)

10th Annual “Celebrate Dr. King: Explore the Dream Through Art” Workshop - Express Yourself Studios

Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host its 10th annual “Celebrate Dr. King: Explore the Dream Through Art” workshop, Monday, January 15, 11 AM – 2:00 PM. Learn about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement through art. Families with children between the ages of 4-12 are welcome to participate in an art project exploring the themes of Peace, Equality, Friendship and Community.

In celebration of the 10th year honoring and remembering Dr. King, the studio will provide the first 20 families that pre-register with the inspired reading for the day “My Daddy, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,” written by Martin Luther King, III.

Special guest readings by Maplewood Township and resident representatives (on the hour):

Additionally, all participants will contribute to a larger, community canvas to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the “Celebrate Dr. King: Explore the Dream Through Art" Workshop. The community canvas will be displayed at the Maplewood Library (Main Branch) in February.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a day of service, to learn more about The King Holiday visit: http://www.thekingcenter.org/meaning-king-holiday. As in previous years Express Yourself Studios encourages all participants to bring a canned or boxed, non-perishable food item to be donated to a local charity, this year’s donations will benefit the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair NJ, http://www.humanneedsfoodpantry.org. Donations are accepted now through January 30.

In addition, this year $5 of each registration fee will be donated to Color for Kids, to learn more about the organization visit www.colorforkids.net.

The Workshop Fee is $20 per participant. If registering a group or community organization, register at the group rate of $15 per participant.

Express Yourself Studios, located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood is currently accepting enrollment for its Winter Art Workshops. Classes are available for children (ages 2-12). All materials are included, and there are a wide variety of classes to choose from. Kid’s classes include: Mixed Media, Drawing & Painting, Sculpture and Cartoon Workshops and are offered in 6-week sessions.

Winter art classes begin January 9, 2018. The workshop fee is $175 per child, the sibling/multi-workshop rate is $155. Can't commit to a 6-week session, need more flexibility? Drop-In for a day or two during any session. The registration deadline is December 31, 2017.
