Express Yourself Studios will host virtually its 13th annual “Celebrate Dr. King: Explore the Dream Through Art” workshop, Monday, January 18, 11 AM and 1 PM (EST).
Learn about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement through the reading and virtual sharing* of the book "Let the Children March" written by Monica Clark-Robinson and Illustrated by Frank Morrison. Then participate in an art project inspired by the book, exploring the themes of Peace, Equality, Friendship and Community.
The first 10 registrants to pre-register by Friday, January 15 will receive a copy of "Let the Children March."

In previous years Express Yourself Studios' service component was a food drive of canned and non-perishable food items, however, due to COVID-19, this year in lieu of a food collection, $5 from each workshop fee will be donated to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey.
The Workshop Fee is $20 per household (for maximum enjoyment participation is limited to 4 participants per household).
Art materials needed for the art project are follows:
- Watercolor Palette
- Crayons or Pastels
- Paint Brushes
- Markers
- Watercolor Paper (9 x 12 or larger)
- Palette (A paper plate will do)
- Pencils
- Water Container (Something to rinse your brushes in)
- Paper Towels
