MAPLEWOOD, NJ, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 – Express Yourself Studios located at 1877 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood, NJ has several events slated for Saturday, October 13 to coincide with Maplewood’s Springfield Avenue Partnership’s HarvestFest. Events are suitable for children and families and include the following:
Crafty Toddler Workshop
Saturday, October 13
10:00am – 11:00am and 11:30am – 12:30pm
This Saturday toddlers can enjoy a special lesson about Autumn and participate in a Fall inspired art project. This session we will create a Pumpkin collage.
The Crafty Toddler Workshop is open to children ages 2-4. The fee is $15 per child/per session (all materials included).
Studio Saturdays
Saturday, October 13
11:00am – 3:00pm
This Saturday between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm for Studio Saturday, this session we will paint a “Day-of-the Dead” Mexican Folk Art painting. Drop-in for a 1-hour session of art & fun (on-the-hour).
Studio Saturdays are open to children ages 5-12, $15 per child (ask us about play date discounts).
Family Fun Night of Art
Saturday, October 13
4:00pm – 6:00pm
Families join express Yourself Studios for 2-hours of studio time, one (1) guided art project, pizza, beverages and all materials required to facilitate the workshop. This Saturday we’ll create a Fall inspired painting.
The workshop fee is $20 per person (4 or more participants the workshop fee is $15 per guest.) To join “Family Fun Night of Art” register in advance. Everyone leaves with a frame-worthy piece of artwork.
Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in the arts. As well as a space where artist are welcome to display their work and create utilizing the studio’s space, tools and tables. The Studio also offers a Summer Art Workshop, an Artist-in-Residency Program and hosts birthday parties and art events throughout the year.
