What’s an Altered Book...? Any book, old or new that has been recycled by creative means transforming it into an object D'art! Curious...join Express Yourself Studios Thursday, March 19 and learn how to rebind, paint, cut, fold, add to, collage, rubber stamp, or otherwise adorn and alter a book. Artist Doreen Valenza will show participants how to combine several types of artistic techniques into one unique art form to create the ultimate personal piece of artwork.
“Altered Books” is part of an ongoing series of Cocktails & Canvas workshops offered by Express Yourself Studios every 3rd Thursday of the month. Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for people to come both children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in arts and crafts.
