“Food as Art,” be inspired by the wonderful colors and textures of desserts let them be your muse as you create a still-life "dessert" painting with artist Simone Anthony-Brown of Express Yourself Studios. Participants will create an 11” x 14” acrylic painting on watercolor paper. Ms. Anthony-Brown will instruct the students beginning with a light sketch of the subject then adding layers of color with acrylic paint utilizing sponge and bristle brushes until the image is complete. Everyone leaves with a finished frame worthy piece of artwork. Plus, Whole Food Market’s Healthy Eating Specialist Tyrone will be on hand to whip-up a delicious treat. The workshop takes place at the Whole Foods Market in West Orange located at 235 Prospect Avenue. The registration fee is $5. Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in arts and crafts.
