MAPLEWOOD, NJ October 12, 2009 – Express Yourself Studios, A Space to Create located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood will host a canned food drive to help benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey the entire month of November and December.
The Community FoodBank distributes over 23 million pounds of food and groceries a year, ultimately serving 1,656 non-profit programs including 436 programs serviced by its Partner Distribution Organizations. Through their combined efforts, the FoodBank assists three-quarters of a million low-income people in 18 of New Jersey’s 21 counties.
Express Yourself Studios encourages local residents to drop off canned or boxed non-perishable food items Monday – Saturday during studio hours 10:00am – 5:00pm. “These donations enable the FoodBank to meet the food and nutrition needs of the hungry in New Jersey and Express Yourself Studios is pleased to be in a position to help this wonderful non-profit group,” says Rodney Brown, co-owner of Express Yourself Studios.

Express Yourself Studios is an art studio and art gallery dedicated to being an outlet for children and adults to express themselves creatively via classes in arts and crafts.
