Express Yourself Studios has several events slated for the month of November. All are welcome/ invited to take part in one or more of the studio’s events. Events are geared toward adults, families and children and include the following:
Fall Art Program Session II
Classes are available for adults and children (ages 2-14) and are offered in 6 week sessions. All materials are included, and there is a wide variety of classes to choose from. Kid’s classes include: Crafty Toddlers, Art Adventure, Creative Collage, Media Mix, and Art Sampler. Adult/Teen classes are Acrylics, Watercolor and Pastel Workshops as well as the Art of Collage. Session II takes place week of November 2 - week of December 7, join us at any point during the session.
November 1 – November 30 - "Visions of South Africa" – Esther & Ian Spence
Express Yourself Studios will host an exhibition of photographs by New Jersey photographers and avid travelers Esther and Ian Spence. Struck by South Africa’s vast and picturesque landscapes, rich culture and beautiful people, the Spences recorded their journey, an excursion of a lifetime in a series of poignant photographs and montages.
“Visions of South Africa” will be on exhibit at Express Yourself Studios for the entire month of November.
November 4, 11, 18, 25 – Coffee & Crafts
For those that love to craft join us for a morning of coffee and crafts. Each week a new project will be explored. Participants will learn and therefore be inspired to create new things for family and friends.
November 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 - Crafty Toddlers
Express Yourself Studios in now offering a Thursday & Saturday morning (10am-11am) class for toddlers! Children ages 2-4 are invited to play with paint! Pinch and pound clay! Collage with glue and explores different art materials. A different project each week. Moms, Dads or Caregivers can participate too!
Crafty Toddlers is $15 per child. All materials included (Choose either Thursday, Saturday or join us for both days ).
November 7, 14, 21, 28 – Studios Saturdays
Join Express Yourself Studios every Saturday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm for Studio Saturdays. Come and participate in a guided art project, a new project each week exploring a different art master and medium. Studio Saturdays are open to children ages 5-10, $15 per child.
November 19 - Cocktails & Canvas Workshop
Join Express Yourself Studios located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood for Cocktails & Canvas. Bring your bottle of wine (or favorite beverage) and explore your creative side and have a night out with friends! Classes suitable for all levels...the main objective is to have fun! Leave with a finished masterpiece!! Individual workshops or private parties; great for "Girls’ Night Out." Every 3rd Thursday, 7:00-9:00pm, $25 per person (adults only), supplies provided.
