MAPLEWOOD, NJ, November 20, 2009 – “Figures in Pastel” an exhibition of Pastel portraits by award-winning Mountainside, New Jersey artist Jeri Greenberg will be on display at Express Yourself Studios located at 1912 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood. Ms. Greenberg an illustrator and commissioned portrait painter is a member of the Pastel Society of New Jersey where she teaches courses on figures and portraits.
“Pastels are pure color and pure joy for me,” says Greenberg who is the recent recipient of the S. Allyn Schaefer Lifetime Achievement award from the Pastel Society of New Jersey for her work “Writer’s Block.” An accomplished artist Greenberg’s artwork can be found in galleries and in private collections throughout the United States.
“Figures in Pastel” will be on display for the entire month of December. An opening reception for the artist will take place Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public. For more information please contact Express Yourself Studios, 973-763-5256.
